    Lots of Posters.

The college where I taught for 15 years would regularly have events to build student bonding. As a guy to who liked to draw, I would regularly offer my services to design promotional posters for these events. Since nobody seemed to complain this gave me a chance to indulge some my darker cartoon fantasies.

I regularly prepared posters for three events: 1. The annual corn roast in the fall. 2. The annual pancake fest in January. And my favourite: the regular open drawing studio. These are just a few.

    Corn Roast

    Corn 1.jpg
Tentacles always add that certain something
    Corn 5.jpg
original concept for one of the first corn events. Alas, the poster is lost to the sands of time
A riff on the keep on truckin' and sunkist raisin imagery of misspent youth
This one got a little too phallic (as does happen when considering corn cobs). So, I didn't use it.
I like to think that I was also famous for my mulled apple cider. A transformative magic elixir that was always a hit.
    Who could resist pyschedelic corn?

    Pancakes

The classic stack of pancakes complete with syrup and melting butter
More stacks. This time with those two words irresistible to almost all students: FREE FOOD!
I helped make the pancakes too. I was notorious for flipping them higher than anyone else. Of course, I ate all those that landed on the floor
You draw "pancakes" enough you look for increasingly bizarre ways of presenting them
    A student's head as a pancake grill.
What I hope was a universal depiction of faculty mixing the batter.
More flipping. This time I was getting into the elegant shapes that a flipping pancake might take.
What else is there to say.

    Open Drawing Studio

An early effort. Don't worry they get more intense.
